Eidon Retinal Screening
Access Eye introduces advanced retinal screening technology- Eidon
Access Eye is proud to now offer advanced retinal screening as part of your comprehensive eye examination. ALL patients will have the internal health of their eyes thoroughly evaluated during your visit. This is traditionally performed as a dilated retinal exam. Now we have additional options with Eidon retinal imaging. The first TrueColor Confocal imaging device for ultra-high resolution widefield imaging. Our practice is pleased to provide all our patients with the most highly advanced technology available in retinal imaging today, and our ability to view your internal retinal health is now dramatically improved with Eidon Retinal Imaging.
The doctors at Access Eye primary concern is early diagnosis and intervention of ocular disease such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal holes or detachments and diabetic retinopathy (all of which can lead to partial loss of vision or blindness). Systemic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure can also be discovered during a retinal exam. Just as your dentist regularly takes pictures of your teeth, and regular mammograms are used for early detection of breast cancer, our eyes deserve the same quality care and attention. These health conditions are difficult, and at times, impossible to detect without the Eidon Retinal Exam or dilation of the pupils with eye drops due to the limited view of the internal structures of the eye.
